PWAP Roles and Responsibilities
Role - Program Director

- Accountable to C.E. Committee
- Reports to Youth Pastor
- Overall responsibility for day-to-day PWAP activity (i.e. Youth, leaders, support workers, equipment, finances, schedules, etc…)
- Provides guidance to Leaderships
- Enforces discipline/holds youth accountable
- Runs Leadership meetings
- Helps develop leadership skills in leaders
- Interview Applicants
- Counseling Youth
- Authority to delegate
- Liaison and contact person for events and/or performances
- Approves all skits, music, message, speakers, leadership, etc…
Role - Assistant Program Director (Return to Top)
- Accountable Program Director
- Supports Program Director
- Takeover when Program Director is away
- Provides a Check and Balance to Program Director
- Provides guidance to Leaderships
- Involved in discipline/holds youth accountable
- Helps develop leadership skills in leaders
- Interview Applicants
- Counseling Youth
Role - Puppet Program Manager (Return to Top)
- Reports to Program Director
- Provides leadership to Youth
- Teaches Puppet Skills
- Selects and/or approves puppeteers, skits, music, puppets, message, props, background, costumes
- Directs each Puppet practice, which includes, music, background, costumes, props, backstage
- Responsible for Puppeteer
- Reports to Puppet Program Manager
- Assigned by the Puppet Program Manager and PWAP Program Director
- Shows leadership quality
Role - Drama Program Manager (Return to Top)
- Reports to Program Director
- Provides leadership to Youth
- Teaches Drama Skills
- Selects and/or approves skits, music, mimes, message, props, background, costumes
- Director each Drama Team practice, which includes, music, background, costumes, props, backstage
- Responsible for Drama
- Reports to Drama Program Manager
- Assigned by the Drama Program Manager and PWAP Program Director
- Shows leadership quality
Role - Band Manager (Return to Top)
- Reports to Program Director
- Provides leadership to Youth
- Teaches Music Skills
- Helps Selects and/or approves music
- Directs each band practice
- Reports to Band Manager
- Assigned by the Band Manager and PWAP Program Director
- Shows leadership quality
Role - Technical Manager (Return to Top)
- Reports to Puppet Program Manager (because requires most interface)
- Supports both Mime and Puppet program Director
- Responsible for the use of sound board
- Responsible for the care and storage of all sound equipment
- Makes recommendations of needed equipment
Role - Technical Manager Assistant (may be a youth)
- Reports to Technical Manager
- Assigned by the Puppet Program Manager and PWAP Program Director
- Shows leadership quality
Role - Backdrop Manager (Return to Top)
- Reports to Puppet Program Manager (because requires most interface)
- Supports both Mime and Puppet program Director
- Responsible developing and preparing Backdrops
- Responsible for the care and storage of all backdrops
- Makes recommendations of needed equipment and supplies
Role - Backdrop Manager Assistant (may be a youth)
- Reports to Backdrop Manager
- Assigned by the Puppet Program Manager and PWAP Program Director
- Shows leadership quality
Role - Finance and Record (Return to Top)
- Reports to PWAP Program Director
- Supports both Mime and Puppet program Managers
- Responsible for keeping Financial records
- Responsible for Administration Task (e.g. Copies, making calendar handouts, filing of skits and plays, etc…)
- Leadership quality needed
- Maintains professionalism
Support Roles (Return to Top)
- Defined as Needed (e.g. Costumes, Props, Bus Driver, Parent Support, child support)
- No Youth intervention
- Accountable to PWAP Program Director
- Responsibility is to assigned manager
- Issue and/or suggestion are presented to assigned Manager or PWAP Director
